SHIFTPODIII.mini Spars

$19.99

Refer to the labeled diagram to ensure you select the correct size spar. The SHIFTPODIII.mini uses three different spar lengths depending on the location:

ROOF SPAR – 40"
UPPER WALL SPAR – 36"
LOWER WALL SPAR – 50"

Note: Spar lengths may vary slightly (±0.25" to 0.75") due to manufacturing tolerances.

Each replacement spar comes fully assembled with a ferrule and spar cap—no need to purchase these parts separately.

Repair Instructions

Replacing a Spar with SHIFTPOD Collapsed

1. Locate the Damaged Spar
With your SHIFTPOD fully collapsed (in the umbrella position), identify the broken or damaged spar.

2. Access the Hub
Unscrew the hub cover (the black, puck-shaped piece) where the damaged spar connects.

•Note: Some models include a retention ring beneath the hub cover—remove this if present.

3. Remove the Broken Spar
Carefully remove any broken spar pieces from the hub socket and the fabric corner pocket. If the spar broke near the ferrule, gently dislodge any stuck ferrule pieces from inside the hub.

⚠️ Wear gloves and handle with care—broken carbon fiber may have sharp or splintered edges.

4. Install the New Spar
Insert the spar cap end into the fabric corner pocket. Then, pop the ferrule end into the corresponding socket in the hub. Ensure both ends are fully seated and secure.

5. Reassemble the Hub
If your model has a retention ring, reinstall it. Then, screw the hub cover back on tightly.

6. Test the Repair
Fully pop up your SHIFTPOD and confirm the structure is stable.
